The Yardage Card: EXAMPLES
This may seem like an unnecessary golf tool, but it is essential to becoming a better golfer. At its core, the yardage card reminds you of your carry distance for each golf club, related to each backswing position you take. (7 iron, full swing = 140 yard carry). We provide you with a simple way to create and access a yardage card that is tailored to you.

Here’s an example of how a yardage card can help you. You’re looking at 75 yards to the green. A full swing sand wedge will land you on the green with a couple of yards of run out. But, it’s swirling wind and the sand wedge will fly too high. The wind takes away your control. Your confidence is slipping away. Which club and how far back should you take the club?

So, you look at your yardage card and see that a 1/3 swing 6 iron will give you 75 yards. But, you have to allow for the run out and it’s a dry course. Look again, your yardage card indicates that the 6 iron with a 1/4 swing gives you a 50 yard carry. From experience you know you’ll get a 25 yard run out. Confidence is restored, you know what to do. Chipping:
How many times have you found yourself 3 feet from the edge of the green in light rough. A Chipping Card will help you decide on the right club and length of swing. For example, the edge of the green is 3 feet away, and the hole is 8 feet from the edge of the green.

A 9 iron 9″ swing might give you a 4 foot carry, but you know the run out will put you well past the hole. Your card tells you that your SW 12″ swing will land you 3 feet past the edge, but the run out will be a lot less than the 9 iron. So your better bet is the SW, which you confidently take in hand and make your 12″ swing.

Putting:
Not many people use a yardage card for putting, but they should. Can you remember with confidence how far a 12″ putter swing will propel the ball on wet vs dry greens? What about wet, uphill greens? Our putting cards can help you sink more putts.
